Let’s be clear…

It’s not technically a new season yet, but I can feel the energy shifting. The cooler air, the feeling of a new beginning. September seems like a second new year. A chance to refresh and begin again. Revisit or revise your goals. I’m sure it comes from years of “back to school” seasons starting at the beginning of September. New backpacks, notebooks, pencil cases, etc. And this September is a callback to all those years for me, as I will be starting the yoga training program in just a few days.

Fall is when the leaves change and drop from their trees – a shedding of the old. Making space for the new. Along with the earth shedding its old layers, I feel the need to be clearing out space. I have an urge to go through clothes and books and odds and ends and refresh my space. Anything that doesn’t fit into this season of my life has to go. Making space for new energies to flow.

Clear out what is no longer serving me.

Clear out the clutter.

Clear out the cobwebs.

Make room for new, fresh energy. I’m moving forward in life towards a completely new goal and it feels comparable to shedding a layer of skin. I have a new focus. In order to create space for what that will bring, I need to remove what is no longer needed. Clear my vision, clear my path.

Can you relate to this second “new year”?
